Renting out parking space carries the full 20 per cent VAT in Austria, while residential rent is taxed at 10 per cent (WKO). On a space around 85 euros that is a 17 euro difference. Ask whether the figure quoted includes VAT.
A space 300 metres away but across a main road is further in daily life than one 500 metres straight ahead. Every listing page shows the location in its neighbourhood, in walking minutes rather than straight-line distance.
In the short-stay zone you may park for at most 180 minutes. Residents of a permit zone can get the Parkpickerl: 93 euros a year for municipal OR provincial roads in the zone, 186 euros for both.
