Renting out parking space carries the full 20 per cent VAT in Austria, while residential rent is taxed at 10 per cent (WKO). On a space around 85 euros that is a 17 euro difference. Ask whether the figure quoted includes VAT.
A space 300 metres away but across a main road is further in daily life than one 500 metres straight ahead. Every listing page shows the location in its neighbourhood, in walking minutes rather than straight-line distance.
In the charged short-stay zone parking costs 90 cents per 30 minutes, and a day ticket is 7 euros. Charges apply Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 8 am to noon, not on Sundays and public holidays. Under Austrian road traffic law the maximum stay is three hours, including in the zones with no charge. The first 15 minutes are free if you display your exact arrival time, and a 5-minute tolerance applies afterwards. Residents whose main address is inside a short-stay zone can apply for a permanent permit for their own zone; the city runs nine resident zones (A, B, C, D, N, S, O, W and Z) and grants one permit per applicant and vehicle. The city parking page does not state the annual fee, so ask the office. Worth knowing if you are looking near the lake: around the Europapark, the Metnitzstrand and the Lido a separate zone applies at 50 cents per 30 minutes and 4 euros for the whole day, seasonally from May to October daily 8 am to 8 pm and in winter 8 am to 5 pm.

The cheapest offers are almost always stacked parkers with a height limit or spaces on the edge of town. Both are real offers, just not for every car. The listing states what the provider declared.
