Official city hiking trail 2

City hiking trail 2: Pöstlingberg

The classic: from the main square up to the pilgrimage basilica.

The best-known trail of the series: across the Danube into Urfahr, then up the hill in switchbacks until the pilgrimage basilica stands above the city. At the top wait the wide view over Linz, the Grottenbahn grotto railway and the Pöstlingberg railway, one of Europe’s steepest adhesion lines, which can take the descent off your legs.
