History & character
From Farming Village to District Oberwagram
The place Wagram, whose name probably derives from Wagrain, is located in Lower Austria on the Traisen and was first mentioned in a foundation document from 1083. Settlement dates back to the Lengyel culture around 4800 BC. In 1850, Wagram formed a municipality together with Stattersdorf. Until its incorporation into St. Pölten in 1923, the settled area mainly consisted of the original villages of Ober- and Unterwagram. After the incorporation, construction activity increased with the building of single-family homes and cooperative settlements in the 1930s. The 1960s saw another construction boom, leading to the completion of the St. Michael settlement. Today, Oberwagram is a district of St. Pölten, separated from the rest of the city by the Traisen to the west but well connected by three road bridges.

Real building heights (OpenStreetMap footprints with heights from the BEV laser scan), sun hours and shadows from sun position and geometry. How much of it reaches you also depends on orientation and windows. Terrain is included, from the official elevation model out to 12 km: a mountain to the south takes the winter sun just as the house opposite does. Where the sun only grazes a ridge, the figure remains an approximation.
