History & character
From Staudratisdorf to Stattersdorf
Stattersdorf, first documented as Staudratisdorf, lies on the eastern side of the Traisen and was once an independent municipality. Throughout its history, the village suffered significantly during the first and second Turkish sieges, as it lacked city walls and many residents fled to the nearby city of St. Pölten. From 1850, Stattersdorf formed a municipality together with Ober- and Unterwagram, during which the chapel was built in 1856. The school, constructed in 1870, was fully financed by Harlander Coats at that time. In 1939, Stattersdorf was incorporated into St. Pölten after several attempts to maintain its independence had failed. In the following decades, infrastructure such as water supply and sewage systems were expanded and modernized. Today, Stattersdorf is a district of St. Pölten, characterized by its quiet location and proximity to nature.

Real building heights (OpenStreetMap footprints with heights from the BEV laser scan), sun hours and shadows from sun position and geometry. How much of it reaches you also depends on orientation and windows. Terrain is included, from the official elevation model out to 12 km: a mountain to the south takes the winter sun just as the house opposite does. Where the sun only grazes a ridge, the figure remains an approximation.
