City hiking trail 9: Prater
The flat loop through Vienna’s largest stretch of parkland.
The loop without a hill: through the green Prater between the Hauptallee, riverside forest and the Heustadlwasser, from the bustle at the Ferris wheel to the calm at the Lusthaus. Vienna’s largest continuous parkland, completely level.
Getting there: U1, U2, S1 to Wien Praterstern, 113 m to the trailhead. Loop trail: you finish where you started.

About 16 m of climbing and 15 m of descent, between 155 and 161 m above sea level. Sampled every 25 m from open elevation data; walking time uses the standard hiking formula (4 km/h plus 300 m of climb per hour).
